Summary
Top of League is a free, non-commercial fan site and is not affiliated with Riot Games. This page explains what we store, why and for how long. We do not sell or share data, show ads, or use third-party analytics.
League of Legends data from the Riot Games API
To build the leaderboards our server reads public data from the official Riot Games API: your current Riot ID (name#tag) and profile icon, your Ranked Solo/Duo tier and LP (one snapshot is stored per day), and the results of your ranked games (champion, win or loss, kills/deaths/assists, date).
Only your current Riot ID is shown; when you rename, the old name is replaced and no name history is kept. There is no live-game lookup. Boards only use games from the last 90 days.
Adding a Riot ID in the tracking box
When you add a Riot ID on the home page we store that Riot ID, the time, and the IP address it was sent from. The IP address is used only to limit abuse (at most 10 names per address per day) and is kept for as long as the entry exists.
Visit statistics
Our own server records page views: IP address, page, referring page, browser, operating system, device type, screen size, browser language and a random visitor id. We use this only to count traffic and to stop abuse, and delete it after 365 days. The web server also keeps standard technical access logs (IP, time, requested page), rotated after about two weeks.
Storage in your browser
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The site keeps a few values in your browser's local storage: your chosen language and server, sound on/off, the last Riot ID you looked up in the tracking box, and the random visitor id used for visit statistics. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.
Third-party services
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and champion images from Riot's Data Dragon CDN. When your browser loads them, these services receive your IP address under their own privacy policies. We send them no other data.
